Green Book ("Green Book," "we," "us") operates the Green Book web application at www.greenbookmil.com. This Privacy Policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It covers our Premium billing (Stripe) and planned advertising (Google AdSense) programs below. Premium checkout and ads are not enabled until separately announced on the site.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data — email address and profile fields you provide (e.g. display name, rank, unit) for authentication and app features
  • User content — tasks, notes, roster entries, files, and other data you create, stored in Supabase with row-level security
  • Billing data — when Premium billing is enabled, Stripe processes payments. We receive subscription status, Stripe customer ID, and purchase metadata (plan type, period end). We do not store full card numbers on our servers
  • Usage and security logs — standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) and error diagnostics needed to operate and protect the service
  • Analytics — anonymous page-view analytics via Vercel Analytics (no third-party ad profiling from this tool)

2. Payments and subscriptions (Stripe)

Premium subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). When you checkout, you are redirected to Stripe-hosted pages. Stripe collects payment method details and billing contact information according to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Premium plans

  • GreenBook Premium Monthly — $10/month (recurring subscription)
  • GreenBook Premium Annual — $100/year (recurring subscription)
  • GreenBook Premium Lifetime — $300 one-time payment for ongoing Premium access tied to your account (non-transferable; see below)

Premium includes ad-free access to supported modules and other Premium features described on the Premium page. There is no free trial.

Lifetime purchase terms

  • Premium Lifetime is licensed to the account that paid — not transferable
  • Access ends if the account is deleted, terminated for abuse, or a chargeback/refund is issued
  • "Lifetime" means for the life of the Green Book service, not the life of the purchaser

Billing events we record

  • Successful checkout (subscription or lifetime purchase)
  • Renewals, failed payments, and grace-period status (7-day grace after a failed renewal before Premium access ends)
  • Cancellation at end of the current billing period (access continues until period end)
  • Refunds or chargebacks processed through Stripe (may revoke Premium access)

Refunds:

  • Monthly or Annual (first charge only): contact us within 7 days of your initial purchase for a full refund (one refund per account for first-time subscribers)
  • Lifetime: contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund; after 14 days, Lifetime purchases are non-refundable except where required by law
  • Renewals: generally non-refundable; cancel anytime to stop future charges (access continues until period end)
  • Chargebacks: may result in immediate Premium revocation pending review

3. Advertising (Google AdSense — planned)

Free (Standard) accounts may see display advertising in select module areas when enabled. Ads are not live today. When launched, we plan to use Google AdSense on www.greenbookmil.com only.

  • Ad type: contextual display units in reserved page regions — no interstitials, pop-ups, or auto-play video
  • Density: maximum one ad unit per page
  • Personalization: non-personalized / contextual ads at initial launch (no Green Book user ID, email, roster, tasks, or files sent to ad tags)
  • Geography: initial ad serving planned for the United States only; EEA/UK ads deferred until consent UX is implemented
  • Premium: Premium subscribers will not see ads in supported placements
  • Preview/staging: ads will not run on Vercel preview URLs (e.g. *.vercel.app) — production domain only

Pages where ads are excluded (planned)

Ads will not appear on authentication, account settings, Premium checkout, search/assistant surfaces, writing helpers, notes editor, team tasks, roster, files, or legal/error pages.

Google may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google Ads Settings to learn about personalization controls. Where required by law, we will provide additional consent options before serving personalized ads (not planned at initial US launch).

You can clear cookies in your browser settings. Clearing auth cookies signs you out. We do not use third-party advertising cookies today.

5. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, and improve Green Book features
  • Authenticate users and enforce account-level access (including Premium entitlements)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe webhooks
  • Respond to support requests and abuse reports
  • Comply with legal obligations

6. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data
  • We do not use Green Book user content to train third-party AI models
  • We do not request classified information or CUI — do not upload it
  • We do not send roster, task, file, or email data to ad networks (Premium status is used locally to hide ad slots only)

7. Data retention and deletion

Account and user content are retained while your account is active. You may delete individual content in the app where supported. To request account deletion or export, email support@greenbookmil.com. Billing records may be retained as required for tax, fraud prevention, and Stripe reconciliation.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact us at support@greenbookmil.com with subject line "Privacy request." We aim to respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell your personal information. You may request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you using the contact above. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We do not serve ads in the EEA/UK until a consent mechanism is in place.

9. Children

Green Book is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when billing, ads, or data practices change. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date above.
