GreenBook is built to help Soldiers, NCOs, and leaders stay organized. This page explains what to keep out of the app, what is private by default, and how feedback and admin tools work.
What GreenBook is
GreenBook is an Army productivity app for Soldiers, NCOs, and leaders — tasks, notes, files, study tools, and related workflows.
GreenBook is not an official Army system unless explicitly approved and communicated by proper authority. It is a helper; official policy, command guidance, and Army systems of record still control.
What you should not upload
Do not upload classified information.
Do not upload information you are not authorized to store in a third-party app.
Be careful with Soldier PII, medical information, investigation-related content, controlled documents, or operationally sensitive information.
If unsure, do not upload it.
Your files and notes
Files and notes are private to your signed-in account by default.
Private files are not public links by default.
No external file conversion APIs are used by default.
No external AI handling of private file contents is enabled by default.
Use official Army systems and command channels for official records.
Meeting Notes and Study Assistant
Meeting Notes are private by default.
Study Assistant content is private by default.
No external AI/tutor calls are enabled by default — no external AI handling by default.
Do not paste classified, restricted, or sensitive personal content.
Feedback
Feedback can be reviewed by GreenBook admins to fix bugs and improve the app.
Feedback may include the page or route you were on and basic device or browser context so we can reproduce issues.
Do not include classified information or sensitive personal information in feedback.
You can send feedback from the in-app Feedback page or the Send feedback control in the menu.
Open Feedback in the signed-in app, or visit Support for more help options.
Admin access
Admin tools are limited to allowlisted admins.
Admin access helps review feedback and app-level diagnostics.
Admin tools are intended for support, feedback review, and operational maintenance. They do not replace official Army systems or command channels.
Admin capability does not mean operators freely browse all private user content by default.
Security posture
GreenBook uses private-by-default file handling with safer upload validation and server-side file type and size checks.
Production releases are careful and scoped — there is no broad develop-to-production release shortcut.
Security headers and Content-Security-Policy in Report-Only mode help us harden the app over time.
This is plain-language guidance about how the product is built — not a certification, compliance attestation, or guarantee against every threat.
