The calculator lets you enter points by category — military training, awards, education, and other areas your board uses — and see a running total. You control every input; Green Book does not pull points from IPPS-A or automatically verify your records.

Use it for planning: “If I complete this course before the board, how does my total shift?” Verify every category against your official PPW and unit guidance.

Cutoff trend analysis

When cutoff data is published for your MOS and grade (SGT or SSG), Green Book charts historical cutoffs by month so you can see direction — not guarantees. Sparse data shows a coverage banner instead of inventing numbers. The free public tool at /tools/promotion-point-trends needs no login.

Data enters the system through admin import of official HRC/MILPER-style tables — transcribed manually with source URLs where available. Green Book does not scrape CutoffScores.com or treat it as authoritative.

What counts as canonical data

Official publications and HRC releases transcribed by authorized admins are the intended source. Third-party aggregator sites may help you cross-check informally, but they are not ingested into Green Book and should not be cited as official in a board packet.

If your MOS is missing from the chart, the tool tells you coverage is limited — not a guess at your cutoff.
