How to use
- Choose MOS and grade (SGT / E5 or SSG / E6). Only Regular Army published cutoffs appear.
- Pick a lookback range (6 / 12 / 24 months or all available), anchored to the latest published effective month.
- Select a chart point (click, touch, or keyboard) or a table row to inspect the exact value — including special statuses 24, 798, and N/A.
- Read source attribution on the selected point and in the monthly table. Verify current requirements with HRC/IPPS-A and your S-1.
Examples
Example: 11B · SGT / E5 shows a numeric trend line; select March to read the exact points value and source link.
Example: 13R may include 798 — No promotions needed; the marker sits on the baseline and remains selectable.
Historical, reviewed cutoff information from published HQDA memoranda — not a prediction and not updated in real time. GreenBook does not forecast future cutoffs. Missing months are honest gaps. Special statuses (24 / 798 / N/A) are not numeric trend heights. Verify current requirements with HRC/IPPS-A and your S-1. NCO on Fire is a mirror host when applicable, not an official Army website.
Published cutoff history — 11B SGT
The upper chart plots numeric cutoffs only; the line breaks across special or missing months (no interpolation). Special months (24 / 798 / N/A) appear only in the labeled Special status lane below the score axis — never as numeric heights or zero. Ranges are anchored to the latest published effective month.
Numeric cutoffs plot in the upper score chart. Special statuses (24 / 798 / N/A) appear only in the labeled Special status lane below — they are not scores and are never plotted as zero. Tab into the point navigator, then use Left/Right and Enter/Space. The monthly table is a complete equivalent.
Selected state uses a dashed ring plus a “Selected” table label — not color alone.

Data source & provenance
Cutoff months come only from publications an admin has reviewed and published. Each row is labelled by source: an Official Army source is a direct HRC/HQDA document, while an HQDA memorandum mirrored by NCO on Fire is a validated HQDA memorandum located on the NCO on Fire archive — NCO on Fire itself is not an official Army website. The issuer of record is shown separately from where a document was hosted.
Historical reference only. Verify current promotion information through HRC/IPPS-A and your servicing S-1.
This tool is not updated in real time and does not automatically discover new cutoffs — data appears only after a human review and publish step.
CutoffScores.com is a manual reference only — not official, not scraped, and not a source for this tool. CutoffScores.com
Methodology & source notes
- Scores come only from publications an admin has reviewed and published from HQDA cutoff memoranda.
- NCO on Fire is a mirror host when applicable — not an official Army website.
- Numeric scores participate in the line; 24, 798, and N/A are semantic specials and are never plotted as numeric heights.
- Missing months remain honest gaps; the tool never interpolates through missing or special-only months as if they were scores.
- No Premium gate. Anonymous visitors use the same published-only public-safe projection as signed-in users.
- Admin review, import, discovery, correction, and unpublished records are not exposed on this page.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an account?
- No. Promotion Point Trends is a Free/public tool. Sign in only if you want the signed-in workspace experience at /career/promotion-trends.
- Does this predict my promotion?
- No. GreenBook shows historical published cutoffs only and does not forecast future scores or guarantee promotion.
- Why are some months missing or marked 24 / 798 / N/A?
- Missing months are honest gaps in published history. 24 means not enough eligible Soldiers, 798 means no promotions needed, and N/A means not applicable — these are not numeric trend heights.
- Is NCO on Fire an official Army website?
- No. When a row is attributed as an HQDA memorandum mirrored by NCO on Fire, the memorandum is HQDA content hosted on that mirror archive — NCO on Fire itself is not an official Army website.
