Army body composition (WHtR / HtWR) calculator
Compute waist-to-height ratio using the same Army WHtR threshold logic Green Book uses in H2F. Measure height and waist at the navel, then compare against the 0.55 standard described in AD 2026-13.

How to use
- Measure height in inches (or convert feet/inches to total inches).
- Measure waist circumference at the navel in inches, following current Army measurement guidance.
- Enter both values. The tool divides waist by height and compares the ratio to 0.55.
- Treat the result as a screening aid — commander and medical guidance control official determinations.

Example (illustrative): height 70 in, waist 38 in → ratio 0.543, under the 0.55 threshold on the encoded rule.

- Is WHtR the same as HtWR?
- Yes for this tool. The Army acronym is WHtR (waist-to-height). Green Book may label the same calculation HtWR in product copy.
- Does this replace the tape test?
- Follow AD 2026-13 and your unit’s current ABCP process. This calculator only estimates the ratio from the numbers you enter.
