Green Book on mobile and installed apps
Green Book is designed mobile-first. You can use it in a browser, add it to your phone home screen, or install the Android wrapper from distribution channels your unit approves.
Mobile web (recommended starting point)
Open https://www.greenbookmil.com in Chrome or Safari on your phone. Sign in once and use Planner, H2F, and references from the motor pool or field — same modules as desktop, tuned for small screens.
Add to home screen
Most mobile browsers let you install Green Book as a home-screen icon (Progressive Web App behavior). This launches full-screen without an app store download.
- iOS Safari — Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Android Chrome — menu → Install app or Add to Home screen when offered.
Android app wrapper
An Android wrapper may be distributed for units that prefer a Play Store or sideload install. It loads the same web workspace inside a native shell — not a separate codebase with different data.
Check /support or release notes for current Android availability; do not sideload unsigned builds.
Offline behavior
Parts of Green Book support offline-oriented workflows (planner cache, selected references). Offline coverage varies by module — see module-specific guides under /army-tools and in-app help. Assume connectivity for auth and sync unless a screen says otherwise.
